"Udta Punjab" - Film Screening by Asian Studies

Asian Studies (as part of the Asian Culture Days, International Education Week) is pleased to present the movie screening of the following.  Prof. Sameer Deshpande (Faculty of Management) will introduce the film and moderate the question and answer session.

This film captures the epidemic of substance abuse among the young in the Indian state of Punjab through the stories of a rock star, a migrant laborer, a doctor and a policeman.  In Punjabi with English subtitles.

Running time:  2 hours and 30 minutes

Note:  due to coarse language, violence and sexual content, this movie is not suitable to individuals under the age of 18.
