It's been a busy year for the U of L Wind Orchestra, and their concert, One Life, One Love, One Ending presents a program capping off their many successes. Audiences are invited to the University Theatre, April 6, at 7:30 pm to celebrate with them and enjoy an evening of orchestral wind music combined with new media elements!

This past November, the first Wind Orchestra Concerto Competition was held at the University of Lethbridge, and third-year trumpet student, Eileen Humble was awarded first place.

"There were fifteen performers who auditioned for the competition," says U of L Wind Orchestra director and music faculty, Dr. Chee Meng Low. "The competition provides opportunity for instrumentalists to prepare a concerto, with the winner being awarded the opportunity to perform with the Wind Orchestra." The program on April 6, will feature Johann Nepomuk Hummel's Trumpet Concerto in E Major, performed by Humble with the U of L Wind Orchestra.

Other program highlights include Angels in the Architecture by Frank Ticheli, Riften Wed by Julie Giroux, and Godzilla Eats Las Vegas by Eric Whitacre.
