Talking About Teaching - Reaching Outside the Classroom

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

At the last Talking About Teaching, we spoke of teaching for liberal education. Join us on October 16th as we build upon that topic by exploring how students can apply the skills and values we teach in our liberal education institution outside of the classroom.

Reaching Outside the Classroom

There are numerous opportunities that the UofL provides for students to learn outside of the classroom. This may be via a co-op experience, internships, and applied studies, but also via opportunities that are extensions of the classroom such as: participating in theatrical productions, clinical work experiences, and community outreach work. Join Lisa Doolitte, Jennifer Mather, Bernadine Wojtowicz and Josephine Mills as they explore student-learning opportunities that extend beyond the confines of the classroom.
