Abstract: It has become very chic in the last few decades to look for realist solutions to the ‘weirdness’ of quantum theory, as a response (primarily) to Bell’s Inequality and the Aspect experiments. However, there is a set of non-local hidden variable theories – the ‘retrocausal models’ – which solve a plethora of technical and conceptual difficulties, and which avoid the problems inherent in counter-factual definiteness by positing something like a quasi-realism: neither realism nor anti-realism. This model invites, for obvious reasons, rigorous logical and philosophical analysis, especially concerning the ontological status of possibilities.

Everyone is welcome.
