Quantum Information In Quantum Gravity For Undergraduates

How do physicists define information, and what does that mean in quantum mechanics? What are the big problems of quantum gravity? Are those two questions really related to each other? I will talk about what undergraduate students can learn about information and how information theory appears in physics, including quantum gravity. As examples, I’ll explain two projects in gravitational quantum information that students are working on at the University of Winnipeg.

This is a free event and all are welcome.
