Join us on Facebook OR YouTube at 7pm on Thursday, September 3, 2020!

The PUBlic Professor Series recently caught up with history professor, Dr. Janay Nugent, who helped us explore seventeenth-century Scotland during the 2016/17 season. In this newly recorded video, Janay is interviewed by her colleague in the Department of History, Dr. Kristine Alexander. These two engaged in a lively discussion about the history of children and youth.

This video is part of PUBlic Professor Series: At Home, where we catch up with speakers from the past six years, as well as learn about some of our upcoming speakers. We may be at home, but we can still stay connected through our shared love of lifelong learning.

Watch Janay's original talk, "Converting a Nation: family, religion, and Calvinism in sixteenth and seventeenth-century Scotland" (previously recorded in front of a live audience on Jan 26, 2017).

We are very excited to make the PUBlic Professor Series available to everyone in the comfort of their own homes. We encourage everyone to have fun with this, prepare some appetizers, pour themselves a beverage of their choice and tune into PUBlic Professor Series: At Home.
