The PUBlic Professor Series is excited to introduce you to another speaker for the 2020/21 season! English professor, Dr. Elizabeth Galway is scheduled to present "What's So Childish about Children's Stories? Exploring the Complex World of Literature for Young Readers" on November 26, 2020. For now, we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to Elizabeth and her research. In this video, Elizabeth is interviewed by U of L psychology professor, Dr. Louise Barrett. The two engage about the value of reading and studying children's literature. For good measure, they throw in some great reading suggestions to keep you engaged throughout the summer.

This video is part of PUBlic Professor Series: At Home, where we catch up with speakers from the past six years, as well as learn about some of our upcoming speakers. We may be at home, but we can still stay connected through our shared love of lifelong learning.

We are very excited to make the PUBlic Professor Series available to everyone in the comfort of their own homes. We encourage everyone to have fun with this, prepare some appetizers, pour themselves a beverage of their choice and tune into PUBlic Professor Series: At Home.
