Professional Learning Workshop: Indigenous History & Culture

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

Indigenous Student Affairs will be offering a one-day professional learning opportunity for Student Services staff, faculty, and members of the University community. The day will be focused on Indigenous culture and history. This will take place on Tuesday, August 20 at Iikaisskini from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities being offered include the KAIROS Blanket Exercise, a presentation by local Blackfoot-Cree Elder Pam Heavy Head, and more. These activities will offer history and context of Indigenous people and issues.

There will be plenty of time for discussion, so if you have questions related to culture, history or student support, we cannot promise we are experts but we promise to offer a safe space for you to ask those questions.

Lunch will not be provided and there will be limited parking at our building, so please plan accordingly. Please RSVP via email to maria.lamouche@uleth.ca
