The U of L Opera Workshop presents opera at its finest!
Italy was the birthplace of opera over 400 years ago and has gone on to produce and inspire some of the most beloved and celebrated operas of all time. The works are renowned for their beautiful melodies, compelling stories, and exciting vocalism. Audiences will be delighted with staged excerpts from such favourites as Verdi’s La Traviata, Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, and Mozart’s Italian opera masterpiece, The Marriage of Figaro - as well as a few unexpected Italian inspired gems.
Presented on the University Recital Hall Stage, November 1 and 2 at 7:30 pm nightly, the U of L Opera Workshop showcases the talents of this dynamic ensemble of emerging vocalists from the Department of Music under the direction of Dr. Blaine Hendsbee.
