New Faculty Workshop - Introduction to Teaching at the UofL

New instructors you are invited to a half-day informal "Introduction to Teaching at U of L" workshop…

If you are able to join us for one of these sessions, we'll provide you with some information and collegial discussion about preparing to teach your fall classes, as well as give you a chance to meet other new instructors and some of the staff and faculty associated with the Teaching Centre programs.

We'll start the day with muffins and coffee at 8:45 and conclude with a light lunch at noon.

Topics for this informal, collaborative, workshop include:

  • building your course outline and syllabus,
  • creating an effective classroom environment,
  • using technology in the classroom,
  • using the "Moodle" learning management system,
  • and an overview of services offered by the Teaching Centre.
