Musaeus, Lethbridge Symphony’s professional string quartet, presents a concert highlighting the grace, elegance and sparkling clarity of music during the 17th and early 18th century.   You will imagine elegant afternoons in palace ballrooms in some of the most opulent palaces in Europe, and hear the highly structured tonal music that created an atmosphere of peace and civility.  Repertoire will include works by Henry Purcell, Johann Rosenmuller, Giovanni Legrenzi and Arcangelo Corelli, and demonstrate the range of colours and emotions found in this remarkable period of Western music.
