Dr. Blaine Hendsbee (tenor) and Glen Montgomery (piano) present a recital entitled “Images of War”. Falling close to Remembrance Day the program reflects on many topics related to war; loss of life, patriotism, pacifism, fear, destruction of the land, suffering of children, mental anguish, prayer, and celebration. The music is all composed between a thirty year period (1910- 1940), with composers as diverse as Poulenc, Kurt Weill, Charles Ives, Debussy, Butterworth and even some popular commercial song composers.
