Biography
Bente Hansen received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Lethbridge and her Masters of Music from Michigan State University.  She has been teaching music theory here at the university since 1997.  Besides teaching, Bente maintains an active performance schedule as the keyboard player with New West Theatre, an accompanist and as a soloist who goes out to many of the senior centers in the area to entertain.  In May of this year, she taught two Master Classes at the Universidad de Nariño in Pasto, Colombia.  She also gave a concert in conjunction with two of the professors there at the Teatro de Javariano.  Later this fall, Bente will be the Musical Director for the Drama Department's presentation of "Carrie the Musical".
