Adam Mason presents a solo percussion recital. It is a globe-spanning variety of music ranging from Bach to contemporary Japanese marimba and Classical India to Drum Corps International.

Biography

Adam Mason serves as the U of L Director of Percussion at the University of Lethbridge.  He is active as a performer, adjudicator and clinician around the world - including tours and major festivals in Beijing, Shanghai, Brazil, U.K., Trinidad, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Ghana, Canada, throughout the U.S. and at Percussive Arts Society International Conventions.  He is immediate-past Chair of the Percussive Arts Society International Committee and is currently Alberta PAS Chapter President.  At U of L, Prof. Mason directs the Global Drums Steel Band, Taiko Ensemble, African Music & Dance Ensemble, Chinese Ensemble, Polynesian Ensemble, Brazilian Samba Batteria and Percussion Ensemble.  Adam instructed the 10-Time-World Champion The Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps, Phantom Regiment and Suncoast Sound. Professor Mason is proud to be an educator/endorser for Remo Drumheads, Zildjian Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks and Yamaha Canada.
