MFA Thesis Show - Mars Ain't The Kinda Place to Raise Your Kids

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

Mars ain’t the kinda place to raise your kids is  a performance installation that explores the real life race to colonize the mysterious red planet. Part gallery installation, part live theatre, Mars uses elements of recorded sound, projected video, object installation, and live performance to create a simulated Martian Colony in The Penny Gallery in downtown Lethbridge. Created with five actors, a sound and video designer and a small technical crew, Mars is based on the real-life Mars One Mission, which hopes to establish a human settlement on Mars by the Year 2027.
