Presents:  SOUTHERN ALBERTA EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND OUTLOOK

Jeremy Carter will give his insight on opportunities for U of L graduates in rural and agricultural labour markets.

Jeremy graduated with a BSc Agriculture from the University of British Columbia in 1996. He started his career in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia working in the dairy industry as a forage and nutrition specialist for 8 years after which he focused solely on forage and horticultural crop inputs and agronomy. In 2006, Jeremy relocated his family to New Zealand where he worked in the potato industry domestically and internationally working with farmers and processors in New Zealand, Australia and the USA. In 2012, he returned to Canada settling in Southern Alberta where he now works as Field Manager for McCain Foods at their plant in Coaldale. In his present role, Jeremy works directly with 30 local farms and the Coaldale Production Team contracting potatoes to meet consumer demands for high quality French fries.
