Introduction to Patient-Oriented Research (POR)

The Career Development Platform of the Alberta SPOR SUPPORT Unit is pleased to launch the 2016 Training Program in Patient-Oriented Research (POR). The Training Program monthly sessions are offered free of charge and will provide knowledge and skills relating to various aspects of POR, while showcasing Alberta researchers who will share their POR experiences.

Session #1: Introduction to Patient-Oriented Research

Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 4:30-6:00pm

With Dr. Marilynne Hebert, Joint Platform Lead, Career Development Platform (AB SPOR SUPPORT Unit), and Guest Speaker: Dr. Braden Manns, Svare Professor in Health Economics, Interim Scientific Director AHS Kidney SCN, Associate Professor at University of Calgary Department of Medicine and Community Health Sciences

In-person sessions will take place in Calgary, Edmonton, and Lethbridge, with online access also available. In-person

participation is encouraged as we aim to build a provincial research community in POR among those who attend,

including graduate students, trainees, researchers, faculty, patients, and industry and community partners.
