Indigenizing to Transform Health Education

The Faculty of Health Sciences welcomes Dr. Verna Billy-Minnabarriet for a public presentation on Indigenizing to Transform Health Education - March 12, 2019 at 7pm in the Markin Hall Atrium. Everyone is welcome; free parking in lot F after 5 pm.

Dr. Billy-Minnabarriet is the VP Academic & Strategic Partnerships ad the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (NVIT), BC's Indigenous Public Post-Secondary Institute. She is also Chair of the Indigenous Institutes of Adult Higher Learning (IAHLA), a consortium of private Aboriginal post-secondary institutes in BC, and Chair of Education of CANDO, an Economic Development entity.

Dr. BIlly-Minnabarriet is recognized nationally and internationally as an educational leader and advocate for Indigenous post-secondary education.
