I Thought About it While Laying on the Floor

I Thought About It While Laying on the Floor is the culmination of Grace Wirzba and Angeline Simon’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Studio degrees at the University of Lethbridge.

The exhibition highlights the body of work resulting from Wirzba’s Undergraduate Thesis and centres on conceptual themes of place and space. Wirzba explores her personal intimacy with architectural spaces as a part of her feminist practice.

Simon’s work focuses on consumption, accumulation, and the remains of domestic spaces. In conversation and collaboration with one another, Wirzba and Simon’s practices converge at intersections of home, space and installation.

We welcome you to attend the opening reception on Friday, May 11 at 7 pm in the Dr. Foster James Penny Building; 324 5th St. South, Lethbridge, AB.

Exhibition runs Monday – Friday, 8:30-4:30 from May 11-22, 2018.
