Friends of Health Sciences Dinner - Thursday, October 4

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

The Faculty of Health Sciences is pleased to present the 2018 Friend of Health Sciences Award to
Jerome F. Singleton, PhD, CTRS.

There are few individuals in Canada, and worldwide, who have impacted the world of therapeutic recreation more than Jerome F. Singleton, PhD, CTRS. Singleton was seconded to the University of Lethbridge from Dalhousie University in the spring of 2015 to help develop the University’s Therapeutic Recreation program. He put countless hours into creating the program content for Alberta’s first bachelor’s-level TR program, ensuring that it meets professional standards and requirements.

He continues to promote the program both in Alberta and eastern Canada. He has been instrumental in preparing the program for accreditation by the Committee on Accreditation of Recreational Therapy Education (CARTE) and the requirements of the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC).

The Faculty of Health Sciences will also recognize the contributions of professionals and agencies that have supported
our programs in practice settings.
