Get your taxes done for FREE!

It's tax season again!

Filing taxes can be a very confusing and intimidating process. For numerous students, this may be the first time that they will have ever been required to do so. Rather than doing your taxes yourself this year, you can get them done for free on campus by trained volunteers.

Trained Faculty of Management students (volunteering with the Canada Revenue Agency) will be offering a free ‘drop-in’ tax service to students and others who qualify for the program.

This is a unique program that will allow students to gain practical experience doing taxes while at the same time helping their fellow students. All of the volunteers are trained by CRA and this program is completely free. Taxes filed will be immediately e-filed.

Please note that this program is only for a simple income tax return. Those that have earnings over $35,000, business returns, capital gains or foreign income will not be eligible for this program. Community members, if they meet the previous requirements, are also eligible for the program.

At your time of visit, please have ready your personal identification, Notice of Assessment, all employment income slips (T4’s), any RRSP contributions, tuition slips (T2202A) and any other tax information that you may have received over the year.

** Please bring a memory stick if you wish to have a copy of your file.
