This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

With the announcement that we will be remaining predominantly online for the Spring 2021 term, the Teaching Centre will be running another Fit for Online Bootcamp for anyone who is looking for ways to help get prepared for teaching online. The program will run for 6 weeks starting on October 26 and wrapping up on December 4. Each week will include a 1.5 hour live session as well as resources for you to work through on your own (or in a cohort).

Topics that will be covered include:

  • Building community and student engagement online

  • Creating a course syllabus and structure for online teaching

  • Facilitating and learning online

  • Designing assignments and assessments for online

  • Working with the online learner

  • Teaching technology sessions and support

Each topic will cover both practical approaches and encourage you to apply these ideas to your Spring 2021 course(s). There will be weekly opportunities to meet with your peers and discuss both your challenges as well as your successes.

Registration is open until October 23.
