Education Undergraduate Society - ReadWorld Fundraiser

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

"ReadWorld Foundation was established in 2014 to respond to the massive destruction in public schools brought by super typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Reconstruction takes a while and rebuilding libraries is one of the best ways to bring normalcy in the lives of students. We send used books and school supplies directly to affected schools through donations from individuals and community organizations. At this time of the year, we present “sponsor a box” campaign to help us send more books to disaster-affected schools, where most poor children attend." - ReadWorld Foundation

The Eudcation Undergaduate Society has partnered with ReadWorld Foundation. We are looking for used books to send to schools in the Philippines that were effected by super typhoon Haiyan. Books can be dropped off at our office on the third floor of Turcotte Hall TH368A. We are also looking for monetary donations to help cover the shipping fee, please contact us at edu.eus@uleth.ca to arrange a time to meet.
