Women Scholars Speakers Series presents 'A Conversation with Dr. Lynne Maquat on Women and Science." Dr. Maquat, recipient of the 2015 Canada Gairdner International Award, is the J. Lowell Orbison Endowed Chair and professor of biochemistry and biophysics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She is also the founding director of the UR Center for RNA Biology:From Genome to Therapeutics at the University of Rochester. She is instrumental in founding the University of Rochester Graduate Women in Science organization in was recently recognized by the Women's Council of the Rochester Business Alliance for leadership, mentoring and community involvement.
