Art NOW Series: Tara Lynn MacDougall
October 10, 2018
Noon | University Recital Hall
Free admission, everyone welcome

It’s worth repeating (so I did) will be a discussion of recent work as well as processes frequently used within my practice. I use feminist tactics of humour, textual and verbal quotation, repetition, and stratification to raise issues of power and voice related to gender and class.

Tara Lynn MacDougall is an interdisciplinary artist based in Lethbridge, Canada. She received a BFA from NSCAD University in 2007 and completed an MFA at the University of Lethbridge in 2018. She has presented work in exhibitions throughout Canada and the United States, including Impossible Expectations currently at Hamilton Artists Inc. Her interest lies in a critical and humourous re-evaluation of the art historical canon, and reconsideration of distinctions between standard labour and artistic production.
