Art NOW series presents Jeremy Borsos
12 pm | March 25, 2019
University Recital Hall
Free admission, everyone welcome!

Jeremy Borsos' works explore meta-historical content in the everyday. Identifying and reversing the positions of what supports events that are read as being historical charge the various media he uses. Through video, photography, installation and writing he investigates the possibilities of the nondescript moment within the language of the archive.

Jeremy Borsos lives and works on Mayne Island, British Columbia in Berlin, Germany and in Athens, Greece. He worked in the motion picture industry in multiple capacities before enrolling at the Emily Carr School of Art in Vancouver in 1983.

He then relocated to New York, where he attended the Art Students League to study classical media. In 1987 he returned to Canada and has since had numerous regional, national and international exhibitions. His work is multidisciplinary including photography, installation, architecture, writing and video.
