ART NOW - Andrew Wright Speaks October 23rd, 2015 at Noon in the Recital Hall

Andrew Wright has exhibited both nationally and internationally. He will have his first solo exhibition in the U.K. at London Gallery West of the University of Westminster. His work was recently included in the sophomore issue of the Milan-based magazine, Mould, curated by Joan Foncuberta.

In August of 2014, Wright’s work was shown alongside work by Michael Snow, Iain Baxter&, Wanda Koop, Ed Burtynsky, Rebecca Belmore, Robert Youds, Isabelle Hayeur and others at the Xi’an Art Museum in central China. The exhibition traveled to Beijing's TODAY ART MUSEUM in January 2015.

Following Penumbra, a primary exhibition at the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival in Toronto and a mid-career survey, Selected Diptychs & Multiples at the Thames Art Gallery, and Pretty Lofty and Heavy All At Once at the Ottawa Art Gallery, a comprehensive catalog of Wright's work, with essays by scholars Carol Payne, Randy Innes, and curator Ola Wlusek, will be published in the autumn of 2015.

Andrew Wright is represented by Patrick Mikhail Gallery in Montréal and Ottawa. He is an Associate Professor of Visual Art and Chair of the Department of Visual Arts at the University of Ottawa.
