Archaeological Field School in Israel this Summer

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

Are you interested in participating in an archaeological field school this summer? This summer's field school will be at Tel Beth-Shemesh in Israel, from May 30 - July 3, 2015.  The field school centres on teaching excavation methods and recording aspects of archaeological field work, as well as the analysis of the cultural remains you unearthed.  You will also visit a number of modern and ancient sites throughout Israel in order to appreciate the context of Tel Beth-Shemesh. Students from all majors are welcome to apply as long as you have successfully completed Arky 1000. You will receive 6 credits (Arky 3000 and Arky 3300) for the field school. Both are classified as science courses.

Please plan on attending the information session in room PE264, on March 2nd from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Dr. Bubel will talk about the site, the research objectives of the project, aspects of the field school, the costs, and how to apply.

Hope to see you there!
