Alberta Gambling Research Institute’s 16th Annual Conference

The 2017 conference theme is “Just Gambling? Ethical Challenges Pertaining to Gambling Provision, Policy and Research.”

The conference theme links gambling to questions of justice and integrity that have been posed with increasing urgency by scholars in the social sciences and humanities. Presentations will include responsible gambling issues, regulatory concerns, gambling research, and policy and bio-medical issues.

The conference will take place April 6 – 8, 2017, at The Banff Centre - a relaxing and intimate setting in the majestic Canadian Rockies. More information about the conference is available from the Institute web site: http://www.abgamblinginstitute.ca/events/2017-conference.

The Alberta Gambling Research Institute is a consortium of the University of Alberta, University of Calgary, and the University of Lethbridge. Its primary purpose is to support and promote gambling research in the Province of Alberta, and it aims to achieve international recognition in gambling-related research.
