The Faculty of Fine Arts’ unique fundraising event, Abbondànza, has become a must-attend event in Lethbridge. An entertaining evening filled with original art, exciting performances, a gourmet Italian inspired meal, fun and frivolity continues to raise funds for Fine Arts student scholarships.

The 16th Annual Abbondànza marks the beginning of uLethbridge’s year-long 50th Anniversary celebration, giving us the excuse to make this the biggest and best Abbondànza yet.

To help kick of the anniversary year, plans are underway for something special - this year only, participate in a live auction of a very few highly select items. Don’t miss these unique one-time-only items!

16 Years Supporting Fine Arts Students

Since its inception, the Abbondànza Scholarship Endowment has awarded 94 scholarships to deserving senior students in Art, Drama, Music, New Media and Multidisciplinary programs.

In 2013, with the help of generous donors, we reached the first milestone - the $1-million mark! With this achievement, the Faculty of Fine Arts is now able to provide $3,000 undergraduate scholarships each year. This makes the Abbondànza Scholarships one of the largest awards provided within the Faculty of Fine Arts. 
In 2015, with the endowment growing, we were able to provide Graduate Student scholarships to Master of Fine Arts and Master of Music students for the first time, increasing the number of students impacted.

With all donations going directly into the endowment fund, the first dollar we received - along with every dollar since - is still working to support students. Join us at the 16th anniversary Abbondànza extravaganza and support undergraduate and graduate Fine Arts students as they work hard to achieve their educational goals.
