Participants will learn how to increase student engagement and build community in the online classroom.
Participants will explore what it means to be a teaching professional, including responsibilities and ethical behaviour and will focus on the context of an online course.
Participants will explore different frameworks for understanding effective online teaching and build their online facilitation skills through case studies and interactive activities.
Participants will examine different methods for creating effective and engaging online activities and will cover the basics of assessment and giving useful feedback.
Participants will be asked to consider the learner and how to create a teaching approach and environment that is inclusive, equitable, and accessible.
