Lavinia Kell Parker

Lavinia Kell Parker (b. 1977) has been the recipient of many awards, including the International Alliance of Women In Music New Genre Award, the ACCC Choral Composition Award, the New York Treble Singers Composition Competition, the and the Ruth Watson Henderson Choral Composition Competition. Professional and amateur ensembles, and musicians, have performed and commissioned her music internationally. Her formal training began at Wilfrid Laurier University with a focus in composition and piano pedagogy and she has continued her studies with residencies in France and the United States. She is an Associate Composer of the Canadian Music Centre. For the past 20 years she has taught beginner and intermediate piano and worked as a church musician, currently as choir director at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian. In every endeavor she strives to bring an element of joy and lifelong love of music. Lavinia has recently moved to Lethbridge with her husband, pianist Brad Parker, and their two children.

Fees*:

  • 30-Minute Lessons:  $110 (Monthly) or $880 (Lump Sum)
  • 45-Minute Lessons: $165 (Monthly) or $1,320 (Lump Sum)
  • 60 Minute Lessons: $220 (Monthly) or $1,760 (Lump Sum)

*The above lump sum ranges are based on 32 weeks of lessons over the course of September - May, but can be pro-rated for students starting late in the term.
