Your musical journey begins here! See our COVID-related Info below.
We are a music school, run through the University of Lethbridge, located in downtown Lethbridge (at Casa). We are a team of highly trained musicians/educators from the University of Lethbridge Department of Music, and distinguished musicians from the community. With over 40+ instructors at the Conservatory of Music, we all work together to help you reach and exceed your music goals!
COVID-19 UPDATE: In the Fall, 2020 the Conservatory (located downtown at Casa) is happy to offer some in-person programming (our space for in-person lessons is now full). We will continue to offer online music lessons to students of all ages and levels. Please check out our program listing for more information about which programs will and will not be running in the fall.
Changes to Fall Programming due to COVID
We are able to offer some in-person lessons at Casa to our continuing students, but we are limiting the number of students to stay under our building's capacity, for everyone's safety. In almost all cases, our private lessons will be alternating 1 week in-person, and 1 week online. For students entering Casa, you will need to use the SOUTH entrance, where a security guard will do a visual health check and ask you to write your name and contact information (we recommend you bring your own pen). Students CAN NOT enter the west entrances. MASKS ARE MANDATORY IN ALL AREAS OF CASA. Reminder that you MUST complete your registration and make payment arrangments before you can attend any lessons, both in-person or online.
Please note, before you even enter Casa, you will also be sent a COVID waiver which you MUST sign before entering (guardian signature required for students under 18). It is also meant to provide you information about the risks, and what to look for every time you come for a lesson in-person. You need to self-assess (for minors, the guardian will do this), including taking your temperature, and assessing your exposure (such as travel, or other people in your household with symptoms). Each week you need to do this, and notify us - either your instructor directly, or firstname.lastname@example.org - if you feel you should not attend Casa in-person. Please see our Missed Lessons updated policies for information on this.
NOTE: We need to limit the number of people entering this facility, so students older than 10 should enter the building alone, and proceed directly to their lesson, no more than 15 minutes before, and exiting the building immediately following their lesson, There will be limited seating available, to discourage people from congregating in the main areas. For students younger than 10, one adult is permitted to enter the building with the student, no more than 15 minutes before the lesson (siblings not taking lessons are not permitted to enter).
Please review the new private music lesson procedures, so you know what to expect. Things may LOOK different, but the music will SOUND the same!:
