Library Services for Students with Special Needs

Information and Research Assistance

Please inquire at the Information and Research Assistance Desk on level 10 for help in locating or accessing materials. We are happy to assist with retrieving materials shelved out of reach.

Elevator Locations

Two elevators facilitate access to levels 9, 10, and 11 of the Library.


All washrooms in the Library are wheelchair accessible.

Wheelchair Accessible Computer Workstations

The library has three wheelchair accessible computer stations equipped with Zoomtext, a text enlarging software, on each level.

CCTV Magnifiers

Two closed circuit television (CCTV) readers are available to assist with the magnification of printed text. Currently stored on level 11, please ask Library staff for assistance if necessary.

Accommodated Learning Centre

Students with documented special needs are encouraged to contact the Accommodated Learning Centre office located at B760, University Hall. Registered students may be eligible to access assistive technology or alternate format materials.The Library reserves a quiet study room reserved for the use of students registered with the Accommodated Learning Centre staff.
