Frequently Asked Questions

These instructions will create persistent links that work both on and off campus.

Instructions:

  1. Connect to the Institute of Physics database from the Library’s database page
  2. Conduct a search
  3. From the search results list, click on the Abstract link > locate the DOI (under the title) 
  4. To convert a DOI to a URL, precede it with the following:

http://dx.doi.org/

For example:  10.1088/0953-2048/20/12/025

Becomes:  http://dx.doi.org/10.1088/0953-2048/20/12/025

Now add the UofL Library's proxy to your permanent link.

For example:  http://dx.doi.org/10.1088/0953-2048/20/12/025

Becomes:  http://0-dx.doi.org.darius.uleth.ca/10.1088/0953-2048/20/12/025

     5. Copy and paste this link into your document.
