Granum, Alberta Historical Newspapers Added to the Southern Alberta Newspaper Collection

The University Library Digitization Team has digitized from microfilm a selection of 350 historical newspaper issues from Granum, Alberta and made them available from the Southern Alberta Newspaper Collection. Granum, Alberta was originally incorporated as Leavings, Alberta in 1904 but was renamed Granum in 1908 after the Latin word for grain on account of the importance of wheat to the community. Content will be of particular relevance to those with an interest in local history. This project was a collaboration between the University Library and the Granum Public Library.
