Spring 2020 English for Academic Purposes Completion Award

English for Academic Purposes Award Recipient: Anna Vozniuk


Anna Vozniuk is the recipient of the English for Academic Purposes Completion Award for her work in meeting her English Language Proficiency requirement by completing the EAP program. Anna came to uLethbridge in the Fall 2019 term from Ukraine, and is beginning her studies Fall 2020 in the Dhillon School of Business, pursuing a Bachelor of Management in Finance. Anna was chosen as this term’s recipient of the EAP Completion Scholarship because of her excellent attitude and work ethic. Her EAP instructors Angela Schindel and Margaret Bell were proud of Anna’s work in the EAP program, stating that:

“Her youthful curiosity and love of knowledge along with her sharp critical thinking skills and interest in a variety of subject matters make Anna an excellent student with a bright academic future ahead of her.  She will do well in whatever she puts her mind to.”
"Anna is a curious and dedicated learner who is committed to always doing her best work. She always has a smile on her face and treats every challenge like an opportunity.  Her excitement at mastering a new skill or understanding a new concept is contagious. She inspires us all to do better!"

Anna tells us that her motivation is based on the desire to do as much as she can to get a good grades and improve her own skills. And of course, having a good time! She remarks that "In future, I plan to become successful Truly, I am afraid of many aspects such as school grades, job, and mathematics but I believe the best way to get through this is being optimistic and never giving up!"
