Managing Office 365 Resource Settings and Permissions

A resource is a non-person related account, representing either a room, or a piece of equipment that is available for booking. These resources can be booked by a person using meeting invitations in Outlook.

By default, a new resource will be created with one or more people set as “owners”, giving them full access to modify its settings and permissions. IT Services may assist with the initial permissions setup for people allowed to make bookings, but owners should strive to maintain this list, keeping up with people coming and going from their department.

How to Recover Deleted Email, Contacts, Calendar Entries and Tasks in Outlook on the Web

Recover an item that's still in your Deleted Items folder

When you delete an email message, a contact, a calendar item, or a task, it's moved to the Deleted Items folder in your mailbox. If you're trying to find a message that was deleted, the Deleted Items folder is the first place to look. If the message is there, here's how to recover it:

1. Sign in to your email account.

2. In your email folder list, select Deleted Items.

How do I configure my non-Outlook email for Office 365?

Sometimes users have a mail application (such as Mozilla Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc.), which connects to your U of L email account via IMAP (rather than Microsoft Exchange). If you are using an IMAP mail client, you will need to manually reconfigure the account settings so that it can connect to your U of L email account on Office 365.

The settings that you need to use for IMAP access on Office 365 are as follows:

Username = your full email address (including the @uleth.ca part)

Password = your normal U of L email password

Need to sync OneDrive for Business to your computer? Here's how.

If you're not seeing OneDrive for Business on your computer, it probably means it hasn't been 'synced.' The instructions to do this are below. Remember that you can always access OneDrive via the website, but having all of your files and folders quickly accessible is more convenient. In addition, you can also access your files when you don't have an internet connection because they will be available on your laptop or mobile device.

When OneDrive is synced, it appears in the Windows Explorer folder just like the other shortcut folders you already have:
