Track It 2021 - UofL LC MHC Physical Activity Challenge

Time to step it up as University of Lethbridge, Lethbridge College and Medicine Hat College compete for bragging rights in a walking challenge from Monday, May 31, to Sunday, June 27. Grab a team and get ready to track your steps to see how far you can make it on a four-week simulated trek from southern Alberta to four great destinations.

Team captains – please  remember to submit your team’s step count from the previous week by the following Monday at noon so we can keep our results up to date and enter your name for weekly draw prizes. Any steps entered after Tuesday will count towards total steps next week.
Each Monday including June 28 - Team Captains are to Report their team's weekly points here.

Where do I sign up? Click here to register as a team or individual. Teams are limited to 10 people Maximum! You can be assigned to a team if you want. 

Not a walker? That’s okay. You can bike, rollerblade or pogo stick and convert your movement to steps towards your team’s overall trek. The total 4-week distance is 1,800km or 2,240,000 steps per team (an average of 450km per week). The challenge is customizable to fit your ability, available time and lifestyle. The smaller the team, the longer the distance you will need to walk per person.

TEAM’S NAME—there is a prize for the best name so be creative.
TEAM CAPTAIN AND EMAIL—the team captain will be responsible for submitting the teams  
weekly steps towards the schools total as well as some great prized. 
MEMBER’S NAME AND EMAILS—teams should include between four and 10 participants. 

Each team is competing to see how far they can get, but collectively the teams’ steps will count towards their institution's totals to see which comes out on top. Along with bragging rights, there will be weekly prizes up for grabs. No matter how far your team gets, it’s all about getting active so everyone wins.

You’ve already completed your first step in the Track It Challenge by signing up. Now, just 2,399,999 more steps to go for you and your team!

 

While bragging rights are on the line between three great southern Alberta institutions, everybody is a winner for taking part and incorporating physical activity into our day during this challenge - and beyond!

 

We will continue to send out emails each week with race updates and introduce new prize challenges along the way to provide you with some extra motivation. Don’t forget to check out the Track It site each week to see where your institution is at compared to the others.
