CANADA SAVINGS BONDS – Payroll Savings Program

Canada Savings Bonds (CSB) are on sale starting October 1 until November 1, 2015. The University of Lethbridge is pleased to offer all salaried employees the opportunity to purchase CSB through automatic payroll deduction.

Purchasing a CSB is easy

  1. Decide how much you want to contribute per pay (minimum is $8 per pay). Automatic deductions will begin with the first pay in December 2015 and continue until you direct your employer to change or discontinue your contribution. Re-enrollment each year is not necessary.
  2. Complete the application on-line at www.csb.gc.ca/employees your social insurance number and date of birth are required.
  3. Record and save your confirmation number, purchasers will receive a Client ID and specify a password after completing their first on-line transaction.

Existing Program Participants

If you are already participating in the program and your current deduction is to remain unchanged then you don’t have to do anything! If you wish to make a change, you can do so on-line before November 1, 2015 by visiting www.csb.gc.ca/employees.
