An Applicant Tracking System (ATS), is a software application that enables the electronic handling of recruitment, which automates and streamlines the recruitment process. The benefits will be shared by prospective candidates, hiring committee members and also HR. The new ATS will have two user portals for which the information contained within can be utilized, both of which are securely stored.
With the help of our ATS, candidates will now have a powerful but simplistic way to manage their application(s) in a secured environment. This will enable prospective candidates to quickly register a profile, add detailed information and store all their application materials (resume, cover letter etc.). The ATS cannot accept audio, PowerPoint, Visio, web pages, or bitmap (.bmp) files. The system is configured so all candidates create unique applications to apply on different job postings. Candidates will have the ability to use their information and application materials on subsequent applications, if they choose to do so. There is also a dynamic help that may be accessed to answer all of your questions.
Search Committee Chair/Members
The Committee Chair along with all other members of the committee will have access to real-time applicant data. The ATS is configured with the ability to ask specific questions to all the candidates, at the time of the application. For your convenience, HR has created a manual (below) that will show some of the functionality inside of the portal and also how to use it. There is also a help menu that may be accessed at any time to answer your questions.
