Mail Services Info
For mail or parcels, students can pick them up at the Housing Office C420 - UHall.
Students will be emailed once mail arrives for them.
For pick up in person:
- Hours of operation are 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Monday – Friday.
- Students must bring ID when picking up
- For urgent deliveries, students may call Mail Services at 403-329-2615 ahead of time to confirm the item(s) have arrived.
Housing Services has very limited refrigeration space to store your perishable meal delivery kits.
We will store your meal kit for a maximum of 24 hours.

With the legalization of recreational cannabis in Canada and the ability to order this product through the various provincial government websites persons over the age of 18 can order cannabis online. In Alberta, the only authorized online seller of recreational cannabis is Alberta Cannabis. These online shipments are delivered through the official transportation company that the government has specified which at present is either Purolator Courier or Canada Post. Upon delivery, the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) has a requirement that the person to whom the package is addressed must sign for the goods and provide identification for proof of legal age.
If you are a student at the U of L you may be considering obtaining cannabis to be delivered to you at the U of L. Please note that all deliveries to the University are received in our central receiving area. Our U of L staff do not have the authorization to receive this product from the AGLC because we cannot verify the person who ordered the goods is of legal age nor can we accept the shipment because we are not the person named on the shipping label. In order to comply with government legislation we will be refusing to accept these shipments and instructing Purolator Courier or Canada Post to contact the person named on the package directly to arrange delivery. In these situations, the shipment would be held at the Purolator Courier depot in North Lethbridge. Neither Purolator nor Canada Post will deliver directly to any room or apartment on campus. For any recreational cannabis orders addressed to campus through Canada Post, a card will be left for the recipient (as per normal delivery) to pick up their package at the West Shoppers Post office. Please keep this in mind if you are considering ordering products from the Alberta Cannabis website.
Alternatively, you can obtain recreational cannabis products directly from a number of retailers within the city of Lethbridge. If you currently receive medical cannabis via the mail, please contact us so that we can make alternate arrangements.
Pre-stamped outgoing mail may be deposited at any time in the red mailboxes located in the following places
- University Hall - Level 6 (across from East patio)
- Students’ Union Building - Level 2 (across from the Bookstore)
- Physical Education Building - Level 2 (across from the Recreation Services Office)
Postage stamps may be purchased at the Students’ Union Rockerman’s Service Centre (SU232).
Mail Redirection
Housing Services is NOT able to redirect student mail as Canada Post will not accept it from the University of Lethbridge. Any unclaimed mail will be returned to the sender if unclaimed within thirty (30) days of the end of the term.
Please remember to change your mailing address on The Bridge before you go so we can mail your security deposit refund.
