Not a First-Come/First-Serve System

The process of assigning campus housing is a complex one. Our overall goal is to find an acceptable balance for first, second, third, and fourth-year students within appropriate facilities for the year of study.

Consequently, we do not process applications on a first-come/first-serve basis. If we did so, all of the second and third-year students would be applying for rooms one year in advance and all of the residences would be full by mid-September.

Instead, we have developed a Lottery System with two separate "draws," one for New University Students and one for Continuing | Transfer | Mature Students.

Watch for Early-Bird & Lottery draw application deadlines for New University Students announced yearly in theĀ Important Dates calendar.

Note: If you do not receive a room offer by the beginning of August, you will receive an Option email notifying you that a residence offer appears unlikely and how you may proceed with your application.
