Bridging to your new career
Accounting and finance professionals are recognized world-wide for their strategic thinking, financial expertise, business insights and leadership. Dhillon School of Business’ CPA Bridging Program, offered as the Post-Bachelor Certificate in Accounting, provides the competencies and experience you need for your career and advancement, by building on your existing degree.
Our flexible and high-quality program is an approved pathway to the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Professional Education Program (PEP), and to Canada’s most pre-eminent business and accounting designation. If you have a degree in any discipline, you can complete the business and accounting courses needed while you continue to work full time.
Your Dhillon experience will include connecting with PhD and CPA qualified faculty as you explore exceptional curriculum integrating essential knowledge areas like data analytics, data visualization, communication, and modern business systems. By adding our Professional Diploma in Accounting (CPA Bridging) to your existing undergraduate education you can stand out in a career market where employers are searching for diversity and breadth.
Building on your prior education
We value your experience! Our recognition of prior education provides you with the most direct route to your accounting credential, and you can choose to study the courses you need at a pace that works for you. We offer evening and weekend classes in Calgary, and daytime classes in Lethbridge, taught by PhD and CPA qualified instructors.
The Dhillon School of Business also supports your career success outside the classroom. We provide a comprehensive approach to career success through networking opportunities, career counselling, industry information events, student professional development and more. Students are also eligible for paid co-operative work terms with employers in their field of study.
Tips on applying
Apply anytime to the Post-Bachelor Certificate in Accounting(CPA Bridging) through the APPLY NOW link below. We also recommend selecting the “Bachelor of Management as a Second Degree – Accounting” as a second choice so we can offer you admission to the best program for your goals.
While your application is in progress with us, request a transcript assessment from the CPA Western School of Business. This assessment allows us to streamline your program and exempt you from courses you have taken in your previous studies.
If you were educated outside of Canada, you will also require a basic evaluation by IQAS, ICES or WES (or by any member of the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada).
If you have any questions about the program please email email@example.com.
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International is the world’s largest global business education network and the Dhillon School of Business is part of only six per cent of business schools worldwide accredited by this international network.
Students who graduate from an AACSB accredited school are contenders for careers with top, global organizations who only hire from AACSB accredited schools; they are offered more competitive salaries; they have a better chance of getting into graduate programs; and they have more employers interested in them after graduation.
When you graduate from the Dhillon School of Business you’ll get all these AACSB benefits as well as the assurance of the highest quality and most relevant education out there.
Enrolling in CPA Bridging at uLethbridge maintains your student status, making you eligible for student loans, scholarships and bursaries. Information is available on the CPA Bridging websites, or by contacting an academic advisor at any campus.
Thanks to the generosity of two distinguished donors to the CPA Education Foundation, financial assistance is available to eligible Bridging Program students.
