The Graduate Diploma in Addiction and Mental Health Psychotherapy (AMHP) is a part-time, blended delivery program designed for students interested in careers in psychotherapy with an emphasis on addiction and mental health. Learning outcomes include:

The Graduate Certificate in Advanced Clinical Study of Addiction (ACSA) offers students an opportunity for in-depth study of addictive processes and disorders. This part-time, online program offers study of the latest research in addiction and is appropriate for a diverse range of individuals in health and social services, program developers, policymakers, or researchers.

This Graduate Certificate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics provides students with advanced training in public health research methods and analysis. Through the completion of advanced coursework students will have the opportunity to strengthen their ability to design, coordinate, execute, analyze, and report on the findings of epidemiologic studies related to outbreaks and endemic infectious and chronic disease, and analyze large public health surveillance data sets, without completing a Master’s degree. All students will complete courses that will prepare them to conduct systematic reviews, randomized controlled trials, prospective cohort studies, case-control studies, diagnostic testing studies, and learn how to analyze findings using biostatistical methods and R software. This program is delivered on the Lethbridge Campus only.

The MSc Health Sciences - Public Health Specialization program builds on the success of our undergraduate Public Health BHSc. The program has been designed to give students the advanced skills they need for competitive entry into the public health workforce as program managers, program evaluators, infectious disease control analysts, and policy analysts, among other positions, and also provides excellent preparation for a health-related Ph.D.

This program provides basic management knowledge for practitioners and entry-level managers in the health sector. The focus is on providing students with the knowledge necessary to enter a management position in the Canadian healthcare system.

This master's program is designed to provide interdisciplinary knowledge and experience for health care practitioners and entry-level managers in the health sector who wish to move into more senior positions. The focus is therefore on providing students with the knowledge necessary to become effective managers in the Canadian healthcare system. Development of applied research, critical thinking and decision-making skills is embedded throughout the program, culminating with application in an integrated experience point project.

The Nursing major in the Master of Science program provides students with solid groundwork in conducting nursing research. It also establishes a foundation regarding the uptake of knowledge (knowledge transference) to clinical practice.

The PhD in Population Studies in Health is interdisciplinary in nature and delivered jointly by the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Arts and Science. Students in this program are normally supervised by Faculty members in the Health Sciences and Social Science disciplines.
