Research expertise

I am trained as a physician and public health professional. Program evaluation is my main specialty. Among others, I evaluated large public health programs, designed to reduce HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and addictions in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Northern Africa. My research to date has focused on the role of health services in preventing, detecting, and managing the health consequences of violence. I am also an investigator on a study examining women struggling with opioid addiction and their reproductive health outcomes.
