Edmonton Short Film Festival - 48 Hour Film Challenge

Edmonton Short Film Festival is running a FREE EVENT called the 48 HOUR FILM CHALLENGE. Participants of any age can pre-register and then submit a 2-minute video between 6pm July 17 and 6pm July 19, 2020. Pre-register at esff.ca Please see Poster for more information.

New Online Musicians’ Health Course, Sound Performers!

The Department of Music is participating in a trial of an online course on musicians’ health, called Sound Performers. This trial is part of a research study, led by Dr. Christine Guptill, Assistant Professor in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta. The research team is studying the impact of this online course. As part of this research, we are inviting you to participate in some surveys. For more information, click HERE!

Technology for Business Health Challenge

Technation and Riipen are teaming up to host the Technology for Business Health Challenge, designed to advance modern business practices.

In teams of 2-4, students will identify a current problem in the business world and present research on new innovations with the potential to solve their chosen issue. Examples include utilizing AI to improve efficiencies, app development, or creative digital marketing strategies.

The top prize of 5K is up for grabs with subsequent cash prizes of $2500 and $1250 for second and third place.
