I am a paint, sculpture and graphite/ink artist originating from Central Alberta. My focus is on the human form, often coinciding with social and psychological issues. I am gravitating towards depicting portraiture that indicates personality, and/or suggests an underlying social commentary. My latest sculptural series involving gas mask symbology ties into themes of global epidemics, the toxic media climate we face today, the removal/protection of individualism within the public sphere and fantasy costuming that is often storytelling of past/future doomsday environments. I hope my work inspires contemplation, emotion and sparks conversation.
