My primary artistic interest is in the landscape and how man-made and natural organic forms, such as trees and moss, interact within these fabricated landscapes. In my current work I am exploring the act of shifting power dynamics between these forces, allowing the natural vegetation to reoccupy these spaces. This semester I am working to incorporate sculptural form into my paintings using aluminum sheeting and wire to mimic organic forms.
