My current body of work explores a gradual process that is instinctive, ambiguous, and awaits the unexpected. I speak to a language of paint rather than words. I am exploring the relationship of thin paint to the canvas and how different washes of colour communicate with one another. By pouring these washes, I am allowing organic forms to compose themselves naturally on the canvas. Although unintended, recognizable forms spontaneously appear. These anomalies are the fortuitous component to my work; within them, I am letting the paint be paint without disturbance. Through my exploration of the language of painting, I have discovered the richness and variation of thin layers.
